Grilled Mini Apple Pies

Relive a childhood memory and grill up some delicious Mini Apple Pies on Island Grillstone. A perfect recipe for the family at home or camp.
Ingredients
  • 2 pie crust
  • 2 large apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 egg white, for egg wash
  • 1½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup (16 tablespoons) brown sugar
  • ½ butterstick, unsalted
Instructions
  1. Preheat the grill to 350° F with island grill stone and cast iron pan.
  2. Melt butter in hot skillet and add apple slice to it.
  3. Add cinnamon, brown sugar, stir well and close the lid.
  4. Cook for approximately 8 minutes. Once done, allow it to cool down completely.
  5. Unfold the pie crust and cut into 4 parts. Using pastry brush, apply egg wash on the sides.
  6. Spoon prepared apple filling on the top, cover with another quarter of pie crust and seal the edges with fork as shown in the video.
  7. Brush with egg wash on the top and sprinkle sugar on the top.
  8. Place the pies on the grill stone and cook for 10-12 minutes.
