Simple pleasures – Marinated Top Sirloin and Bacon Wraped Asparagus
Marinated Top Sirloin Steak
Recipe:
1 cup “Old Orchard 100% Juice” Apple
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp coarse salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp ground pepper
1 pound Beef Loin (Top Sirloin Steak)
Mix all ingredients together and pour marinade in bowl big enough for the Sirloin. Marinade Sirloin for 2 – 4 hours. Cook to your personal preference on direct heat.
Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
Recipe:
1 pound fresh asparagus – break off ends
Garlic salt
Ground pepper
Olive oil
Bacon strips – cut in half length wise
Coat asparagus lightly with olive oil, salt and pepper, then wrap each bundle of three with bacon. Grill for about 3 – 4 minutes on each side.

I am always in the market for new ways of preparing steaks. I haven’t tried the apple juice or the bacon wrapped asparagus. We normally just put the asparagus in aluminum foil and add butter and seasonings.
