The New Cooking Outdoors Kitchen – Update #1
This has been a long time coming, months of mental planning and many a beer to get to this point!
My outdoor cooking solution has revolved around a very small area on the side of my house and required me to move a grill from under my very crowded patio cover to the familiar location you have all seen in my videos.
That area has all been torn out by my 14yr old son and he has almost completed digging out the dirt for the concrete slab I will be having poured in next couple of weeks.
I had him dig up the power line to the back shop to repair (see trench) and then refill it when it was done.
He is a very hard worker!
To give you an idea of the area I am having filled in with concrete, I scribbled the white in the photo above.
The new slab will be approximately 6ft x 30ft.
Almost dug out!
When the digging is finished, I will be running some power to the area before the slab gets poured.
I will be adding a new wall with a 6 foot overhang to help protect the area.
Of course Bailey is always involved!
More updates coming soon!
Congratulations, Gary! I know from our visit how cramped your studio was. I gotta come see the new one when finished.
Hey Steve! Great to hear from you! I hope all is well and you know you are always welcome in my neck of the woods 🙂
