CampFire In A Can – Product review
Just received my new CampFire in a Can demo unit from CampFire in a Can. I needed something to place in my tent trailer to use at campsites that don't have a firepit available, this multipurpose campfire is just what I was looking for in portability and ease of use.
It's no wonder that CampFire In A Canis so popular with campers and cooks everywhere, it's compact and sturdy. When I open the box to pull this bad boy out I was thoroughly impressed. It's been featured in MotorHome Magazine / JeepFreek Magazine / Trail Blazer Magazine / Inventors Digest / S&S Outdoor Adventures Magazine and many more.
The CampFire in a Can was so well packed that I had to take a couple of photo's just to show you. Nothing was exposed or able to rattle around and get damaged during shipping, wrapped and packed to perfection, very impressive.
The CampFire in a Canis extremely compact, measuring 14.75″ W x 10.25″H and weighs only 18lbs so you can carry it anywhere and store it just as easily. The box contained several pieces perfectly wrapped, assembly takes all of 2 minutes or less. You have all it takes to have a complete campfire in one very small package. Some uses that come to mind: Horse camping, Off roading, Tent Camping, RV use, Backyard campfire, Picnics and on and on.
Assembly is very easy:
- Set the powder-coated steel stand on the ground.
- Place the powder-coated steel base on top of stand.
- Place stainless steel lower burner on top of the base.
- Place stainless steel upper burner on top of the lower burner.
- Insert your fuel choice and light the fire!
Total time: under 2 minutes!
Fuel choices:
- Wood
- Firelogs (like Duraflame)
- Charcoal
I first used mine at the monthly Cub Scout Pack meeting. Big hit with the boys and parents, I used three Firelogs (3lb logs) and it burned for almost 2 hours! It was a rip roarer also, never once did the flames ever get out of control, stayed in the can and above the can. Quite a show for the first round.
My 2nd time use was in the back yard to try out the wood burning capabilities. With just a full sheet of newspaper and some dry kindling I had a full fire going in about 15 minutes and it was a huge fire! One of the great features of the CampFire in a Canis it keeps everything contained in a 14.75″ diameter cylinder, so all of your fire is going straight up not out and wide.

Here is one of the best parts about CampFire in a Can, putting it all away! So simple, you can't do this with a traditional campfire either! Done with your campfire? Just remove the top burner, reverse it and place inside the bottom burner, place the lid on top of the CampFire in a Can, snap in place and the fire goes out!! When it cools you can empty it out and store it away. Just try doing that with a 3 foot wide outdoor campfire!!
In conclusion, I couldn't be more impressed! Excellently constructed, durable, fast assembly and storage. great fire and it's very compact. Couldn't ask for more! This is a great product and I highly recommend you try it out. I am going to be testing it next as a grill and maybe a Dutch oven cooker …………

I’m so glad you mentioned backyard use. Some people miss out on a lot of fun by leaving their camping gear in the camper all the time. We had a great time using the CFIAC as a firepit one cool evening.
We just love ours!! It’s great for the backyard. Just did some Jiffy Pop the other night.
