Hey, everyone, setting up your grill properly is the key to perfect grilling.
And here’s how it’s done.
It’s all done by zone.
This is direct zone where you charcoal in a single layer over the bottom of your charcoal grill or in a gas grill your burners are set all on.
This is a 2-zone setup.
Double layer of charcoal on one side and a cool zone on the other side.
This is a 3-zone.
Double layer of charcoal on the left and a single layer of charcoal in the middle with a cool zone off to the other side.
This is considered an indirect zone, perfect for placing a drip pan in the middle, where you want to create a situation as if you were baking in an oven.
Last but not least, this is what I call a circle zone.
And I use this primarily for pizzas.
