There are so many options to choose from.
You have alder, apple, cedar, cherry, hickory, oak, peach, pecan, maple and a ton of others.
But which one goes with what food, what really works?
Well, there’s not one specific but there are several options.
For fish and seafood, you can use alder, cedar, maple and oak, all nice mild medium flavored woods.
For your beef, we’re talking about cedar, hickory, oak, pecan, and walnut.
Chicken pairs up nicely with apple, cedar, maple, hickory and oak.
Pork has the same requirements as perhaps chicken does with some alder, cedar, apple, cherry and maple.
For fruits and vegetables, try alder, apple, cedar, cherry, and oak.
Even better give them all a try, find out which one you like, what fits your flavor profile the best.
