Presenter: Hey, everyone.
Have you seen the new Tastemade series, The Hyundai Grill Iron on YouTube yet?
I really love it.
And it’s inspired me to team up with Tastemade to share with you my favorite homegaiting and tailgating tips.
Announcer: The Cooking Everything Outdoors show is sponsored by Camp Chef, and www.OutdoorCooking.com, and www.IslandGrillstone.com.
Presenter: To make the perfect grilled sandwiches you’re going to need some weight.
Now, we’re talking about paninis here.
I’m going to show you some great recipes that I like to build that are quick and fast.
But you need something.
You can either use a bacon press which is a cast iron press to hold down your sandwich.
Reason was we want to get that heat compressed through that sandwich as quick as possible because we don’t want to burn our bread.
If you don’t have one of these, you can just simply use a cast iron skillet.
And if you don’t have one of those, can get a break and wrap it in foil.
So I have a grill ready to go.
It’s hot, but it’s not so hot that I’m going to burn my bread.
When I’m setting up for my tailgate party I want to give my friends lots of choices to build their own sandwiches.
Building your sandwich is a simple as applying all your favorite ingredients.
I’m going to make a turkey bacon, BLT.
So, we’re going to put a little mayonnaise on here, a little tomato.
Beautiful turkey.
Some lettuce.
Bacon.
And our bread.
So I’m going to take some softened butter and apply that to the top of my bread.
I want to take this, I’m going to flip it over and put it on the grill.
Place your brick or your weight right over your sandwich.
So, when one side’s toasted, take your brick off.
We’re going to put a little bit of butter on that side there.
And with a large spatula, we’re going to give this a nice flip.
Put your brick back on there.
Finish it up.
This beautiful sandwich is done.
Let’s build a couple of more and have a feast.
How about a little pastrami?
And with my pastrami I like some sauerkraut.
Just like that.
Get my butter on there.
And let’s get this on the grill.
We’ll use our bacon press.
Butter up our other side.
We’ll give that a flip.
And here we have roast beef, the homemade aioli, Chipotle Cholula Sauce.
And we’ll need some provolone cheese.
Some roasted green peppers.
Beautiful!
Add a little butter on there.
That’s for the grill.
And our beautiful roast beef.
Well, it’s time to plate these up.
I like to make mine nice pieces for everybody.
Hey, that’s it.
We have paninis on the grill.
And make sure you stop by and check out the Tastemade Hyundai Grill Iron series on YouTube because I am and I know you’re going to enjoy it as much as I do.
That’s it.
